Lucky us to already live here!  I love this article because I love the Queen City, and to have it featured in the Huffington Post brings a smile to my face!

So lets all focus on this spring and all of the fantastic happenings that are going on in our communities.  Never mind the freeze warning tonight, I suspect it’s the last one, and it will be sunny days and warmth ahead!

Things have changed….

Well there it is, a Sweetheart that says ‘TWEET ME’, these little morsels have been around since 1901.  They constantly evolve with the times, and if the right person gives you the right Sweetheart it can make your entire Valentines day special, because you know they had to dig through the whole bag to find that perfect quip.

So love it or hate it Valentines day comes every year.  Will you celebrate with your love as tradition dictates or are you preparing Valentine treat bags and cards for your child’s class? Is that the way your Valentine Day’s seem to go these days?  Another newer celebration has emerged as a regular on the Valentine circuit, it’s a happy and single party, or possibly even a picture bonfire of your ex!

This weekend…what’s on!

This is the first installment of many posts to help you plan a fun weekend, whether it’s family, romance or sport  you are looking for!

From this Thursday the 24th until Sunday the 27th there are many fun activities happening in and around the greater Charlotte area.

First, here are a few family activities to keep everyone entertained!

The Charlotte Checkers are taking on the Abbotsford Heat on Jan. 25 and 26!  The Friday night game (7:00), is Race Night Presented by Hyundai – to benefit Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, Hyundai Hope on Wheels and Saving Savannah.

The Saturday afternoon game (12:00), the Checkers will have another run at the Heat, it is  FSI Box Top Collection – bring in General Mills Box Tops for Education and receive a complimentary chuck-a-puck for each box top!
