No need to road trip for a fab girls weekend! The Ballantyne Resort has it all!

The Ballantyne Resort

I have to tell you about the amazing girls weekend I just spent at the Ballantyne Resort last weekend!  We wanted to relax, be spoiled and recharge our batteries!  Oh, also we didn’t want to drive far to do it!  So we decided to try the Ballantyne Resort to fill our buckets!  They did not disappoint!

Upon check in, Arthur at the front desk greeted us with his warm smile and a room upgrade, which I have to say was the perfect start to our weekend!  It was totally unexpected and very, very much appreciated.  What a spoiler to be placed on the top floor and have 2 balconies to sit on relax, and admire the beautiful view.  Which by the way, in case you weren’t aware, you can see uptown perfectly from these balconies!  We didn’t notice it at first, but very cool when we did!

The room was beautiful and fully equipped with a sitting area, a bedroom, robes, slippers, Starbucks coffee, yummy bath products and the best part, 2 restrooms which is quite a nice luxury for a girls weekend!  🙂

After enjoying some time in the room we enjoyed a nice lunch in the lobby Veranda restaurant.  We shared the Grilled Ribeye and the Local Cheddar Panini!  Both were very good, but the Panini was our favorite!  The Service was fantastic and so friendly.  Noel made us feel welcome and like we could really spend some time!

But…we had pedicure appointments, so moving on to the Forbes Four-Star recognized Spa at Ballantyne we went!  We had booked the Bahama Mama Pedicure (the monthly special), the Spa features different specials each month, so fun, and something to look forward to!  This Bahama Mama pedicure was quite possibly the best and most gentle pedi I have ever had.  Susan was a pleasure, she provided excellent service and pleasant conversation, all while I sat in the chair gazing out of the picture glass window watching the golfers go by.  They say the pineapple coconut shea butter sugar scrub followed by a mango-melon shea butter massage will nourish skin, and it really did!  The aroma was also divine!  During the pedicure the spa provided a Bahama Mama cocktail to enjoy along with our treatment.  We thoroughly enjoyed these and finished them while our piggies dried out on the balcony at the spa.  The entire experience a treat through the end!

Off to the Pool to have a snack and maybe another Bahama Mama.  That Friday evening the Ballantyne Resort was hosting a Tommy Bahama fund-raiser for Juvenile Diabetes in the pool area.  It was a fabulous evening for a fantastic cause.  We loved watching the fashions go by and the raffle was good fun!  The pool bar was alive with locals and hotel guest all eager to support the cause and partake at the pool party.

The rest of the weekend, Saturday and Sunday morning were spent strolling the poolside, the Gallery Restaurant, and enjoying leisurely mornings in the room with scrumptious room service.  Below is a slide show of snippets from the whole weekend.  This will definitely be a repeat event for us.  Next time though the whole family will come, I know our children would love to play in the pool and enjoy the poolside snacks and service!
